Dear members,

 

Join us for the upcoming training session this Sunday, September 24th, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The playing fields are located on Soi LaSalle (Sukhumvit 105), just opposite the main school. Please remember that all parents and guardians are required to exchange an ID card for a visitor’s pass at the entrance.

Kit Ordering Reminder

This is the final Sunday to order personalized kit. If you haven't completed the google form yet, please do so by Sunday. If you're unsure about the correct size for your child, visit the organizer's table on Sunday for assistance. 

Rugby World Cup Breakfast

Join us for a Rugby World Cup breakfast at The Clubhouse on Sunday, 8th October 2023, at 9 am. Please complete the google form shared over email to let us know how many people will be joining. Remember, it's a replay of the match; avoid social media that morning to immerse yourself in the tournament spirit.

Helios Bangkok 7s/10s Tournament

Exciting news! We've registered our teams for a thrilling two-day tournament at Patana on November 11th and 12th. Here are the categories we're competing in:

Under 18 Boys Sevens

Under 18 Girls Sevens

Under 16 Boys Tens

Under 14 Boys Tens

Under 12 Tens

Under 10 Tens

Under 8 Tens (tag)

Please complete the respective Google Forms sent out by email to confirm your child(ren)'s availability. Be prepared for an action-packed day! Note that this tournament is likely to be a full day commitment both days, so plan accordingly. 

U19s – ‘Friday Footy’ at NIST on 29 September

Players should arrive by 5:30 pm at NIST

Local Derby - Southerners vs. Bangers

Join us this Saturday, 23 September 2023, as the Southerners take on Bangers at Bangkok Patana.

Kick-off times: Women : 2.30 pm / Men: 4.00 pm

Parents and coaches vs. The Panthers

This Sunday 24 September 2023, there will be a match between parents and coaches against The Panthers at Patana, with kickoff at 11:30 am. If any parent is interested in playing, please reply to this message.

Age Categories

Player age categories are determined based on their age as of January 1st, 2024. Here are the team categories for the 2023-24 season:

  • Senior Girls’ Contact (13 years old and older)
  • Cubs and U8 (Mixed)
  • U10 (Mixed)
  • U12 (Mixed)
  • U14 (Boys)
  • U16 (Boys)
  • U19 (Boys)

Get Involved

We are a community-based volunteer-run club, and your involvement is crucial to our success. If you're interested in contributing by assisting with coaching or helping at the organizer's desk, please reach out to any of our coaches or reply to this email. Your support is highly valued

We're continuously exploring sponsorship opportunities. If you or your company is interested in supporting the Lions and would like more information, please feel get in touch.

Rain

Occasionally, we may need to cancel sessions due to flooded fields. To stay updated, please remember to check the WhatsApp Announcement Group on Sunday mornings, especially after heavy overnight rain. 

2023 – 24 Registration

 

Registration for the season is open. To register, please visit our website at www.bkklionsrugby.org and click on "Online Registrations."

Registration Fees:

  • 1st Player: THB 5,000.00
  • 2nd or Subsequent Player: THB 4,800.00

Please note: The registration fee for the 2023-24 season includes the following:

  • Rental of school grounds.
  • Provision for basic medical cover at the grounds to treat and assess any injury.
  • Provision of water, rugby balls, and associated equipment necessary for training and games.
  • One set of playing gear (jersey, socks, shorts, and mouthguard).

Exclusions: The registration fee excludes all external tournaments not organized or arranged by the club and the cost of any social events that may incur a fee. Local and international tournaments arranged by the club will be advised as required.

 

Important: Playing gear will not be distributed until full payment has been received.
